"Law, without force, is impotent.  Force without Law is blind."  This quote by Blaise Pascal is depicting his view of democracy and how people in society follow the rules of life and laws of the land. Without laws those using force would just become mayhem. Laws without force behind it would be useless. although some law abiding citizens would follow this laws, eventually life would become chaotic due to those not obeying the law. Blaise Pascal's views are binding the two words together and saying one can not survive without the other.

  1. I like your description of the quote, there is a need for law and purpose behind it. Although we have law it is necessary that there is force behind it. It is true, Pascal's view, that law and force cannot become separate entities they are one.

  2. Your Points are very true and I agree 100%. people can't make up laws just for them to not be enforced. Enforcing them is the main point of a law. It seems like common sense that you need one without the other, so Its crazy at one point in time they needed to state this fact(obvious). I like how you described this quote.
